A 20-year veteran of the technology industry, Ruiz comes to SUN with a strong history of introducing new technologies into Latin American. Over the years Ruiz has introduced data warehousing, systems monitoring, and software re-engineering products, as well as security and compliance solutions into the region. In his current capacity, Ruiz is responsible for promoting the adoption of Open Source in general, and MySQL in particular to Latin American public and private entities.
